Join Athena Project for a free and public event on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 2501 E 48th Ave from 2PM to 6PM for an afternoon of music, dance, and visual art!
In collaboration with Huerta Urbana Farmers Market taking place at Focus Points Family Resource Center, we’re hosting artBURSTS featuring DJ CYN and live musical and dance performances for audiences to experience the joy a burst of art brings. Also keep your eyes out for the digital billboard truck traversing the neighborhood streets that same afternoon (between 12PM and 4PM) featuring women muralists whose work adorns the Women’s Bean Project building on W Alameda, and art from the Museo Sin Fronteras exhibit from Museo de Las Americas.
This is the latest series of events highlighting women artists in our Curating Art for Impact program, which produces impactful and unique art with community partners. We uplift women artists and PAY THEM for their work, while Huerta Urbana Farmers Market is a social enterprise bringing fresh food to the community! It’s a fantastic opportunity to uplift each other!
Huerta Urbana’s Farmers Market Schedule: front porch unless noted otherwise. All events take place at Focus Points Family Resource Center (2501 East 48th Ave, Denver, Colorado 80216). Times and artists are subject to change.
